This crashing at startup screen MAY be due to needing to install a Chinese langauge pack, such as the East Asian language pack, and enabling Chinese PRC and Chinese Simplified options in the Control Panel / Regional and Languages settings. Once you've done those things, you need to edit the Hipihi shortcut's properties in the compatability section, Advanced, and turn OFF the Advanced Text Services for the Hipihi shortcut.

However, my problem is that like many people I bought computer (at Costco in the U.S.) which had XP *pre-installed* and so am without disks. At the MS website and after googling for an hour (see http://www.google.com/search?q=download "East Asian Language pack"&hl=en&safe=off&rlz=1B3GGGL_en___US232&start=0&sa=N
, I cannot find a link to a download of the East Asian language pack.
Does anyone have any idea if it is possible for me to get the language pack? I've written to HiPiHi support with this issue as well, who knows if anyone would have any idea, but it may be good to make them aware of their Overseas Users' difficulties.
